A Year in the Fulbright Life: Ahmad’s Story
For the next year, Fulbright MENA will be showcasing a handful of students as they study in the United States with their new series, A Year in the Fulbright Life. Each month, spotlighted students will share an update as they continue on their Fulbright journey.
January 2021:
After starting my program remotely, I finally made it to Syracuse this semester! Time for campus check-in!
“Tell me you live in Syracuse without telling me you live in Syracuse”: loving the everyday snowfall!
I decided to go for a walk and enjoy the breathtaking golden hour in downtown Syracuse.
February 2021:
While studying, an alarm reminds me it’s time for classes! Some of my classes are still virtual but I’ve created a nice set up at my home.
Souvenirs are a must and have to show my school spirit! This month I had the chance to go shopping at the Syracuse University Campus Store.
You realize how much you miss people when you meet new friends. It can be challenging to make new friends during the pandemic, but since arriving in Syracuse I’ve had the chance to make many new friends.
Sledding for the first time was so much fun!
Making use of the university facilities helps increase the productivity. Here I am visiting the Syracuse University Student center.
Ahmad is a first-year Fulbright student from Jordan. He is studying Architecture at Syracuse University.
