Thriving in the Fulbright Program with my Visual Impairment

It has been such an amazing, exciting journey to be in the United States. As a Fulbrighter, I have had the chance to meet so many new people, experience new cultures, and discover new beautiful areas in New York, Connecticut, Michigan, and many others. I also had a chance to try ice skating for the first time and it was an amazing experience. I’m excited to keep discovering, meeting new people, and making the best of this experience.

Meeting a former president and Fulbrighter

During my first semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I was invited to attend the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) held in New York City. The summit focused on enabling efforts to tackle the world’s most challenging problems and achieving a sustainable future through business. I had a unique opportunity to network with numerous business leaders, executives, and researchers from the world’s leading universities. But most notably, I had the chance to meet the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, a member of the Fulbright Association and once an intern at the office of Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright, the founder of the Fulbright Program!
